Property and layout

I went by the property today to take some pictures (click on them to enlarge) and get some measurements. We had to specify where the house sat on the property so I drew it up on paper which helped us decide to place it 12' from the right side of the property. This should leave enough space for TR (aka Trusty Rusty) to park on the side of the house if neighbors complain about him being an eye sore.

In this first picture I was trying to capture the entire property.
The orange stakes outline our boundary - it starts roughly at the fire hydrant and goes a little past the light pole and all the way to the pile of dirt in the back. We're very excited to see them break ground but that probably won't happen for a few weeks - they just submitted the plans to the city today (Jan 27).

This second picture makes the lot look quite a bit bigger. It was taken from the back right corner facing out toward the street (I was standing on that pile of dirt you see in the first picture). You can see the majority of the property here - notice the fire hydrant at the diagonal.

This is the property and house from a bird's eye view.....the back yard is going to be great!!! We hope to get a fence built with our tax return next year. Copper Basin installs a front sprinkler system with sod, two shrubs and a tree - it's up to us to finish the back.

Check back soon for pictures of digging and laying the foundation!
