Plumbing, HVAC & Areal Views

I was able to talk with the foreman yesterday for a while which was really nice because I understood how much pride he takes in his work and how much he really does care about the quality of the homes. I was able to get a time line of our house being built - they have a final inspection date of May 3rd. That's only seven weeks away! I've added some plumbing and HVAC pics - not terribly exciting.

The hot and cold water lines are shown at this manifold here. One really nice feature is that they label everything at the manifold which has valves for each line at each location. So, for example, if I wanted to turn the hot water off to the upstairs bathroom I could just turn the valve & everything else would still be on (this might come in handy once the kids are teenagers!).

This is where all the magic is gonna happen!

The HVAC & plumbing guys had to install drywall so they could put this platform down in the garage. The furnace and hot water heater will sit on top of the platform.

They got our fireplace installed. Very nice!

They got our extra window cut out also - this really adds a lot of light to the dining, kitchen & living. The view is also extended to where it almost feels panoramic!

I got some areal views by climbing the hill across the street from our place.
